Paul Evans Cityscape Dining Table

Monumental dining table by American furniture maker Paul Evans (1931-1987).

Evan's was part of the American Studio Furniture movement of the 50s and 60s, alongside contemporaries like George Nakshima. He received his training at the Cranbrook Academy of Art outside of Detroit, worked at a metalsmith for a brief period at the historical living museum Sturbridge Village, and eventually shared a studio with Phillip Lloyd Powell in Pennsylvania.

This rare burl and brass faceted dining table is part of his Cityscape collection, one of many collections designed for Directional during his decades long relationship with the North Carolina-based furniture manufacturer. Overall excellent condition - a few areas of chips in the burl as seen. No chips or deep scratches in the glass.
